The Holiday Season brings the wonder of tradition, a time for families and friends; a time for sharing and giving; and a time for helping others.
The Health Services Foundation’s Festival of Trees Fundraising Event grows larger each year as area businesses, organizations, and individuals create beautiful, fully decorated trees, wreaths or other Holiday themed items that showcase their business s or individual talents with unique artistry and craftsmanship. Each thoughtful and generous donation is given with the purpose of ensuring that the healthcare needs of our communities are met. The Health Services Foundation is able to assist our local hospital, area health clinics, municipal police and fire departments, and area schools with much needed equipment and programs from the funds raised. Last year’s event raised over $9,000 to help with the Foundation’s mission.
Public enthusiasm for this beautiful Holiday event is both incredible and heartwarming. The hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season can be stressful for many. Our lives are busy and finding time for preparations is all too short. The Festival of Trees Event can put just the right Christmas tree, in just the right spot in someone’s home; or put the perfect wreath on just the right door or provide just the right gift for someone special. The Festival of Trees Event takes place in the concourse of Houlton Regional Hospital transforming it into a stunning wonderland. Advertising for the event will occur in newsprint and shared on the Health Services Foundation’s website and facebook page and on our local radio station. A special Public reception is being planned for an evening during the event with refreshments and entertainment.
